My Story

About us

Hope House Children’s Hospices is a charity that gives every local child with a life-threatening condition and their family access to professional care and improves their quality of life from the point of diagnosis.

My son, Theo, was born with various complex medical needs and was referred to Hope House while still in hospital. He has recently started attending a weekly play group there which has been a lifeline for him and my wife, Claire, as they can socialise with others in a safe and inclusive environment while making friends with other families in a similar boat.

As well as the help they offer Theo, my daughter, Elsie, is also supported by their Sibling Support team which she absolutely loves. All of this and more wouldn't be possible without the money raised by supporters.

We took part in The Great Birmingham Run as a family while Theo was still in hospital back in 2022 and I have decided to come back this year.
